The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.

Exterior top lid appears to have been repainted with black paint and varnished, significant marks, scratches, visible wear to the canvas covering the hinges, there are some losses to the canvas on the front side and exposed wooden parts due to wear. Hardware and lozine exhibits dents, scratches and rust.

Interior has been restored, still the lining is detaching and drooping in several areas. Glue residue is visible on the surface, and sections of the original lining remain exposed.
