The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.

1. Exterior exhibits marks, scratches, humidity stains, dents, dryness, and cracks to the leather, with some losses to the leather on the corners. The leather closure strap is missing. Hardware and rivets exhibit oxidation and verdigris.
Interior is incomplete, it exhibits marks and stains, with the upper interior lid appearing to have been restored.

2. Exterior exhibits marks, scratches, stains, and an overall patina, with minor losses to the leather corners. The handle exhibits creasing, dryness, and cracks. Hardware and rivets have slight oxidation.
Interior exhibits marks and stains, with some interior elements possibly replaced.

3. Exterior has significant marks and dents, with significant losses to the canvas. The two leather handles and closure straps are missing. The lozine exhibits rust, and wooden part is exposed on the top lid. Hardware exhibits rust and oxidation.
Interior is incomplete, it exhibits significant humidity stains, marks, and odor, with the upper interior lid appearing to have been restored.
