The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use.

1. Exterior exhibits dents, marks, and scratches, there are some losses to the canvas, visible wear to the canvas covering the hinges, wooden slats appear to have been sandblasted. The lozine trim exhibits prominent patina, dents and marks. The two leather handles appear to have been replaced. The leather closure strap is missing. Hardware appears to have been cleaned and polished, still it exhibits dents and scratches.
Interior exhibits humidity stains and marks.

2. Exterior exhibits dents, marks an scratches, visible wear to the canvas covering the hinges, dents and creasing to the leather on the corners. The lozine trim exhibits prominent patina, dents and cracks.The leather on the handles exhibits dryness and cracks. The leather closure strap is missing. Hardware appears to have been cleaned and polished, still it exhibits dents and scratches.
Interior appears to have been partially restored, some rivets are missing on the top lid, it exhibits stains and marks.
