- Overall condition good. Some traces of tarnish and scratches throughout. Secure agate lid to the back. With winding key. 'BONS SOUHAITS' painted on the dial instead of the numerals. Gross weight: 609 gr.
- O.Bachet & A. Cartier, 2020, expertise no. BC2003-79: Belle Epoque quarter repeater 'cube' desk clock, Cartier Paris, 1907. Particularity: this clock is an example of the first models of 'cube' clocks made. Later the hardstone would be removed and only guilloché enamel in two colours would decorate the case, leading to the use of only one colour of enamel and thus permitting the use of only one guilloché or uniformity of design within a model. The bun feet would be used below a rectangular enamelled base then disappear altogether. Ball feet then appeared, to be followed by moulded agate - scroll or classic - bases.

- Prominent fractures to the agate front panel. Minor scratches to the agate side panels.
- The purple guilloché enamel in good condition minor scratches throughout. Some traces of re-enamelling to the base at the back of the clock.
- The white enamel with mnor losses and some scratches throughout.
- The cabochon amethyst and the moonstone in good condition.
