The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- Overall condiiton: good. Shows normal signs of wear, some scratches and nicks. Tarnished metal.
- Additional marks: engraved with the 'M' and coronet ownership mark of Princess Margaret.
- Fittings: single pin with safety-catch; pendant detachable.
- Topaz: 2 topazes with approximate weight of 15.00 and 3.50 carats, purplish-pink colour, good match, with typicial inclusions, one chip to table facet oval topaz and a scratch to the drop, some general abrasion.
- Diamond: bright and lively.
