Les tableaux ont récemment fait l'objet d'un rentoilage, un peu fort, qui a pu tasser la matière picturale par endroits. Ils sont sur des châssis rapportés.

A l'oeil nu, le premier tableau présente quelques retouches dans les fonds au niveau des ombres portées. Sur le second tableau, on constate également que le bleu du fond a été repris, tout comme les ombres portées qui ont été restaurées.

A l'UV, sur le premier tableau, on constate quelques cernes brunes des putti ont été rechargées. Pour le second tableau, on constate les restaurations susmentionnées ainsi qu'une ancienne restauration dans les quatre coins.

Dans des cadres modernes en bois peint (premier : approx. 44 x 177 cm. ; second : approx. 45 x 179 cm.).

The paintings have been subject to a quite firm relining which may have somewhat flattened the paint surface in certain areas. Canvas are held under tension on a modern stretcher.
In natural light the first painting shows some retouchings in the background and in the shadow areas.
On the second one we can see that the background has been restored as the shadow areas.
Examination under UV lights reveals that the brown circles of the putti have been reinforced. On the second painting we can see the afore mentioned restorations as some restorations in the fours corners.
In a modern wood painted frame ( approx. 44 x 177 cm. ; second : approx. 45 x 179 cm.).
