The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage récent. Il est sur un châssis à clés.

A l'oeil nu, on constate d'anciennes retouches ayant viré dans les fonds, notamment sous l'entablement. Les fleurs sont dans l'ensemble bien préservées.

A l'UV, on constate des retouches dans les fonds et des retouches plus récentes le long des quatre bords, probablement consécutives à des frottements du cadre. Le tableau est sous un vernis vert épais sale ne permettant pas de distinguer des campagnes de restauration antérieures. Le vernis est légèrement allégé au niveau du nid d'oiseau et de certaines fleurs, notamment les fleurs rouges.

Dans un cadre en bois et stuc dorés, travail moderne (approx. 97 x 81 cm.).

The painting is unlined. It is held under tension on a keyed stretcher and remains stable.

In natural light some old discoloured retouching can be seen under the stone ledge. Overall the flowers are well preserved.

Examination under UV light reveals some scattered retouching in the background and more recent ones along the four edges probably caused by frame abrasion. The painting is under an old varnish which may hide previous restorations campaigns. The varnish has been partially cleaned over the bird nest and some of the flowers.
