Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un rentoilage correctement réalisé qui a préservé la matière picturale. Il est sur un châssis à clefs.
A l'oeil nu, on ne constate pas de restaurations. Le tableau possède une jolie matière et des glacis bien préservés.
L'examen à la lumière UV ne révèle pas de restaurations récentes. Le tableau a fait l'objet d'un nettoyage partiel. On constate des traces de vieux vernis dans la partie inférieure.

The canvas has been subject to relining, it is held under correct tension on a keyed stretcher and remains stable. The relining process has been correctly carried out and has not adversely affected the paint surface.
In natural light the painting presents very well, the upper paint glazes appear beautifully preserved.
Examination under UV light further supports this, showing no recent restoration. The painting has been partially cleaned, traces of an old varnish can be seen in the lower half of the composition.
