Le tableau se présente dans un bon état général de conservation.
Il a probablement faire l'objet d'un rentoilage mais sa toile de rentoilage semble avoir été depuis enlevée. La toile actuelle paraît être sa toile d'origine. On constate une petite pièce de toile dans le coin inférieur gauche (approx. 9 sur 7 cm.) du revers de la toile.
A l'œil nu on constate une petite restauration au niveau de la pièce de toile sur le pied droit de Joseph. On constate des restaurations au niveau de la jambe droite de Jean-Baptiste. La composition chimique du manteau bleu de la Vierge semble avoir tourné avec le temps.
A l'UV, on constate des restaurations le long du bord supérieur et le long du bord inférieur. On constate des restaurations récentes et ponctuelles dans les fonds, au niveau des nuages et du ciel, sur le manteau de Joseph, au niveau du manteau rouge de la Vierge et au niveau des jambes de Jean-Baptiste, comme précédemment cité. Les carnations sont bien préservées. On constate une restauration sur le genou de la Vierge. Le tableau apparaît sous un vernis vert avec des traces de vernis ancien dans les fonds.
Dans un cadre mouluré en bois et stuc doré de style italien XVIIe (approx. 151 x 118 cm.).

The painting is in a good overall condition.
It was probably relined, but the relining seems to have been removed. The current canvas seems to be its original one. There is a small piece of canvas in the lower left corner (approx. 9 x 7 cm.) of the reverse of the canvas.
To the naked eye there is a small restoration corresponding to the piece of canvas on Joseph's right foot. There are restorations on the right leg of John the Baptist. The chemical composition of the blue cloak of the Virgin seems to have turned.
Under the UV lightning, there are restorations along the upper edge and along the lower edge. There are recent and occasional restorations in the backgrounds, in the clouds and the sky, on Joseph's cloak, on the red cloak of the Virgin and on John the Baptist's legs, as mentioned above. The skin tones are well preserved. There is some restoration on the Virgin's knee. The painting appears under a green varnish with traces of old varnish in the background.
In a 17th century Italian style moulded wood and stucco frame (approx. 151 x 118 cm.).
