Le tableau est peint sur un panneau de chêne aminci parqueté. On constate deux fentes horizontales au panneau et des restaurations le long d'une troisième fente correspondant à la jointure des panneaux.

A l'oeil nu, on constate des restaurations dans les fonds. Le tableau possède une jolie matière néanmoins, et de jolis glacis, notamment sur les figures. Le tableau est encrassé et pourrait bénéficier d'un léger nettoyage.

A l'UV, on constate des restaurations dans les fonds le long des fentes et d'autres comblant certaines craquelures. Certaines parties brunes du personnage central ont été un peu remontées. On constate du vernis ancien dans les parties sombres.

Dans un cadre en bois de style hollandais XVIIe, avec charnières aux angles latéraux, travail moderne (approx. 74 x 85 cm.).

The painting has been executed on a thinned out oak panel which is cradled. two horizontal splits are noticeable and we can see some restoration along a third split which corresponds to panels joint.

To the naked eye, we can see restoration to the grounds. The material is well preserved, just as some glazes on the figures. The painting carries some dirt and could benefit from a light cleaning.

Ultraviolet examination reveals restoration to the grounds along the splits and other restorations associated to some craquelures. Some brown parts of the central figure may have been strengthened. We can see some old varnish in the dark parts.

In a 17th century Dutch style giltwood frame, with hinges at the side corners, modern work (approx. 74 x 85 cm.).
