We would like to thank Dr. Fred G. Meijer for having suggested that one of the compositions, that with a white carnation on the ledge, is close to the work of Pseudo-Jan van Kessel the Younger, a conventional name for an artist or workshop that produced more than two hundred still lifes between 1660 and 1750, mainly small formats painted on copper, presenting recurring iconographic motifs in a decorative, naive style.

Nous tenons à remercier Dr. Fred G. Meijer d’avoir approché l'une des compositions, celle avec un oeillet blanc sur l'entablement, de l’œuvre de Pseudo-Jan van Kessel le Jeune, nom de convention désignant un artiste ou un atelier ayant produit entre 1660 et 1750 plus de deux-cents natures mortes, principalement des petits formats peints sur cuivre, présentant des motifs iconographiques récurrents dans un style décoratif, naïf.
