Le tableau est peint sur un panneau, parqueté. On constate au revers des galeries d'insectes xylophages, dont l'infestation n'est plus active aujourd'hui.
A l'oeil nu, le tableau présente une fente horizontale d'environ 11 cm partant du bord gauche. Le tableau possède un réseau de craquelures prononcé, soulevé par endroit, parralèle au fil du bois. On constate des petites manques au centre de la composition au niveau de certaines craquelures prononcées.
L'examen à la lumière UV révèle quelques retouches récentes sur le vernis, notamment au centre de la composition, au niveau des manques précédemment mentionnés. On constate des restaurations ponctuelles le long des craquelures suivant le fil du bois.
Dans un cadre en bois doré, travail moderne (approx. 48 x 58 x 5,5 cm).

The painting is painted on a panel, it has been cradled. To the reverse, there are traces of historic woodworm activity, this is no longer active.

In natural light, a horizontal crack can be seen extending in from the left-hand edge, which measures approximately 11 cm. The painting has network of craquelure, which is slightly raised in some areas, parallel to the grain of the wood. There are some minor losses associated with the network of craquelure.

Examination under UV light reveals some recent retouching above the varnish, notably to the centre of the composition, where we could see the minor losses. There is also some retouching to the aforementioned network of craquelure.

In a modern giltwood frame (approx. 48 x 58 x 5.5 cm).
