Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Hinged on the reverse at the upper corners to the mat backing with archival tape. Faintly mat-stained and light-stained, consistent with the work’s age. Edges lightly deckled. Artist's tack holes to the four corners and left, right and lower center edges. A few faint handling creases, primarily along the lower edge. Some rubbing of the medium in places, probably due to the artist's working process. Pinpoint accretion near the figure's jawline. On the reverse, faint transfer from another drawing. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall very good condition.
