The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Hinged at the upper corners on the reverse to the mat backing with archival tape. Light-stained, consistent with the work's age. Edges deckled, with a few minor nicks to the lower edge. Artist's tack holes to the upper edge and lower corners. A diagonal handling crease along the lower right edge and a few faint handling creases throughout. Three small pinpoints of skinning in the lower left quadrant. Some areas of rubbing, consistent with artist's process. Two pinpoint surface accretions to the upper register. On the reverse, adhesive residue on the upper right corner from a previous mounting. No restoration detected. The line is strong and sheet well-preserved. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work is in overall very good condition.
