The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of these pieces acquired after their initial manufacture.
Both dishes:
- There are some small chips to the foot rim.
- There are a few nicks to the mouth rim.
- The mouth rim unglazed, a former metal ring is probably missing for both.
- Extensive wear to the glaze on the moulded decoration in the center of the well.
- The glaze shows a network of crackles characteristic of this type of glaze.
- Some firing and glaze faults as can be expected.
One dish:
- There is an approx. 7 cm. long hairline going down from the mouth rim.
