The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks consistent with age and use.
There are some scratches to the top, with minor restorations with 'gomme laque paste filling'
There is a restoration to the base visible with minor cracks reinforced with wooden pieces.
There are some traces of old wood worm now apparently inactive especially visible to the wooden structure under the top and to the base.
There are some minor liftings to the veneer especially one to the edge of the top. There are some minor losses to the veneer revealing the bare wood underneath.
