The canvas, stretcher and attachments are in generally good condition. The paper adheres well to its underlying support. There are media splashes in places. There is faint yellowing to the extreme edges and spots of foxing and pinpoint flyspots in places. There are some areas in the upper left quadrant where paper residue has adhered to the surface. There is a minor area of loss/skinning in the centre. When examined under ultraviolet light there is no indication of any inpainting. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work is in good condition.
