Polished bronze on a slate base. The element is secure on its slate base with a knut and bolt. There is some evidence of oxidation where the bronze element meets the slate base. On close inspection there are some tiny abrasions in scattered areas of the sculpture. There are some light surface scratches and some inconsistency to the surface of the bronze in places, from the time of casting. Some minor tarnishing to the bronze in places; this work could benefit from a light clean. Some small chips and losses to the base. Subject to the above it is our opinion that the work appears to be in overall good condition.
