Overall good condition with scattered scratches and abrasions consistent with age and use. Seat appears to have been replaced at some point in the history of the piece and presents with wear. Stenciled decoration on the seat is faded and presents with scattered scratches (longest is approximately 6 in.), as to be expected from normal use. Area with a dried residue on the seat (approximately 1⁄2 x 21⁄4 in.). Underside of the seat with dried glue residue throughout, not visible when presented. Legs present with wear, scratches, marks, and small paint splatters (largest is approximately 1⁄4 in), commensurate with age and normal use. Visible bent wood seams to the seat and foot, presenting with a gap on the foot. Heavy wear to the foot, concentrated to the extreme edges, as to be expected from normal use. A charming stool, ready for display and use.
