Lot Essay

As mentioned by Barnaba Fornasetti in Fornasetti: The Complete Universe, the present lot is a prototype for a chandelier, from Piero Fornasetti's 'Giornali' (Newspapers) series. It never went into production and remained in his atelier's stock room until the 1980s.
