The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is tape along the turnover edges. There are minor paint losses to the corners. There are fine tension cracks to the vertical edges with associated paint losses, most visible to the right vertical extreme edges. There are some hairline cracks in places near the horizontal edges and right vertical edge with associated pinpoint paint loss to the crack near the left of the horizontal edge. There is a minor accretion in the upper right quadrant. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
