The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is some surface dust to the thicker impasto and there are some accretions to the upper left horizontal edge. There are scattered minor drying cracks, most visible to the mustard coloured impasto. There are two impasto breaks in the white passages near the centre of the left horizontal edge. When examined under ultraviolet light, there appears to be no evidence of retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
