The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is structurally sound. There is some minor rubbing to the corners with associated fraying to the upper left and lower right corners. There are some brown media marks to the left half of the composition, presumably in keeping with the artist's working method. There are some faint drying cracks in the purple passage to the lower right quadrant. There is some surfact dust to the thicker impasto and a minor loss to the white impasto peak in the lower right quadrant. When examined under ultraviolet light, there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
