The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There are hairline cracks with associated minor paint losses in places to the upper left corner, extreme left vertical and horizontal edges. There are some further minor paint losses along the extreme right vertical edge, upper right corner and lower corners and in the grey passage in the lower centre and the pink brush stroke in the upper left quadrant. There is some minor lifting in places, most visible in the turquoise brush stroke to the centre of the composition. There is a fine linear abrasion near the lower left corner. When examined under ultraviolet light, there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
