The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is tape along the turnover edges. There are some minor tension cracks to the upper horizontal and right vertical turnover edges. There are some minor hairline cracks in the darker red passage left of centre and in the red passage in the lower right corner, the latter with associated pinpoint paint losses. When examined under ultraviolet light, there is no evidence of any retouching. Subject to our foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
