The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to or in elaboration of the catalogue entry:
- the signature in the plate retraced in ink probably by the artist
- with wide margins, the sheet probably reduced
- pale light-staining
- occasional, unobtrusive pinpoint foxmarks along the margins
- some pale backboard stains, one of which lightly showing through recto at the upper margin
- remains of old paper hinges along the sheet edges on the reverse and some unobtrusive paper skinning
