The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The frames with scattered age and construction cracks, with the largest being at the diagonal join at the crest rail of one chair. The carving with scattered minor abrasions and losses. Regilt and now with some rubbing and losses revealing gesso and bole beneath. Some minor chips and losses to the gesso. The upholstery with some wear and light staining, the edging detached in areas. Present well.
