A 35mm camera was used to photograph this stunning view of sunlight over Earth.

Discovery made its second trip into space since the Challenger accident of January 1986. This photograph frame was among NASA’s third STS-29 photo release on Monday, March 20, 1989. Crew members were Astronauts Michael L. Coats, John E. Blaha, James F. Buchli, Robert C. Springer and James P. Bagian.
