The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This painting is supported by a glue lining on the reverse and is stable on its support. The paint layer is clean and stable under a clear varnish. There is some slight cusping along the upper edge. There is an extremely fine network of craquelure across the surface, as well as some additional cracking along the weft and weave of the canvas. In raking light pinpoint repairs along the craquelure are visible. These repairs as well as repairs to abrasions at the extreme edges are visible under ultraviolet light. The painting present well and is offered in a giltwood frame.
