The canvas has been subject to relining; this is held under tension and remains stable. There has been some thinning to the upper paint layers as a result of the relining process. The paint is stable. Examination under UV light reveals some scattered retouchings, though a thick varnish precludes a more in depth examination. The painterly approach to execution remains appreciable.
