The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The panel is uncradled and beveled along all four sides of the reverse. Four strips of wood have been added along the edges of the panel. The varnish is clear and the paint stable on the support. Under ultraviolet light, fine lines of strengthening fluoresce in the sky at upper left, the landscape and sleeping figure at lower left and the architecture and group of figures at right, most concentrated in the standing figure at right. The painting generally appears to be in very good condition and should be displayed in its current state.
