The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The panel has a horizontal grain and is about 3 millimeters in thickness. Two horizontal cracks in the panel have been reinforced on the reverse with glue and stabilizing strips of wood. Both horizontal cracks are 10 1/2 inches in length. One is approximately 3 millimeters from the top edge and the second is about 5 3/4 inches from the top of the panel. The panel is also stabilized on the reverse on all four corners. The varnish is minimally yellowed. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals passages of inpainting, especially along the horizontal cracks. There is minimal frame abrasion to the left, bottom and right edges. The panel is stored in an climate box frame and can be hung in its current condition, though the climate box may need attention.
