The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The picture is stable and retains areas of good impasto. There are a couple of very tiny losses in the lower left and right corners, and in the upper right. There is some general abrasion and thinness in some areas, for example to Christ's robe, and discoloured retouching is visible in natural light along all the edges. The examination under UV light shows some minor scattered retouching to the darker tones but a more thorough examination is impeded by the varnish.
