The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

- a tiny surface abrasion on the rock above the woman.
- a pinpoint rustmark in the castle at centre left.
- a couple of tiny nicks at the lower right corner.
- some soft cockling at the upper sheet edge, mainly visible in raking light.
- some pencil inscriptions verso.
- small remains of old glassine hinges at the upper corners verso.
Otherwise as described and in very good condition, mounted and unframed.
