The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description:
- the sheet backed with laid paper, probably 17th century.
- a horizontal, central fold partially split from the right sheet edge into the subject and secured by the backing.
- a few other minor folds and printer's creases above and below the central fold.
- with some additions in grey wash, mainly in the lower subject.
- a tiny paper loss at the upper left corner.
- a tiny wormhole at centre right, a few tiny plugged holes at upper left and one at lower left.
- some minor staining and pale foxing.
- small remains of old hinges verso.
Otherwise as described and in good condition.
