the later Bernard edition, with the original title-page with the address Chez H.L. Basan Marchand d'Estampes, / Rue et hôtel Serpente, no 14., and list of contents
with the mottled blue cardboards and green paper-covered spine
the binding worn, the spine split, the plates toned and with some foxing
the prints generally in good condition

The following two prints included here were previously considered by Rembrandt but have since been rejected: Bartsch 295 and 344.
The most complete examples of the Basan album also include the following, which are missing from this volume: Bartsch 39, 200 and 205.
