The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The carving is in excellent condition and presents well. The stone with natural coloration, inclusions, and veins. Light surface dirt on the base and in the crevices. Nibbles on the ears. Two scratches on the proper left side of the back (back side of carving). Scuffing at the top of the shoulders. Spots and small areas of infill on the top of the dog's face, neck and back. A spot of infill on the proper right leg and snail. A stress fracture at the ankle of the front right leg and on the rear right leg. Minor rubbing at the corners and nibbling at edges of the base.
