The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The panel is composed of three vertically oriented wooden boards. The left panel measures approximately 3 1/2 inches wide, the central panel measures approximately 6 1/2 inches wide, the right panel measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide. The work is supported on the reverse with a cradel. The paint layer is stable and under a varnish that has yellowed with age. There are minor scattered pigment losses along the extreme edges from frame abrasion. There is a disturbance issuing from the lower edge at center. Under natural light, scattered retouching, including to the left panel join, to her face and lines of strengthening is visible. Inspection under ultraviolet light is largely impeded by an opaque varnish. The work should be hung in its present state. The painting is offered with a simple wood frame.
