This painting is executed on panel, comprised of a single board with a horizontal grain. There are signs of hand bevelling along the edges. The paint layer is stable under a clear varnish. There is minor scuffing and abrasion at the extreme edges, which is hidden by the rabbit of the frame. There are extremely minor retouches to areas of the backround along the wood grain, which are visible in raking light. These retouches also fluoresce in ultraviolet light. Further inspection was hindered by an opaque varnish. The painting is in fine condition and is offered in a tradition Dutch style frame.
