The sheet is hinged along the upper edges to the backing board and undulates slightly at the horizontal edges. A few faint handling marks are visible to the upper left corner and right edge. Minor wear is visible to the lower left corner. Fine drying cracks with associated lifting and loss are visible to areas with heaviest paint application, in keeping with the artist's chosen medium. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
