The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
-There are a few knocks to the body with associated losses to the enamel, including one side of the neck near the ruyi band, two areas above the brocade sash
-There is a small indentation to the gilt-bronze on one end of the sash
-There are other small shallow indentations
-There is expected pitting to the enamel, which is original to manufacture
- There is rubbing to the gilding and small areas of abrasion consistent with age and use
-There are minute nicks to edges
-The mouth is slightly warped, which may original to manufacture
-There are scattered small areas of enamel losses, some of which been wax infilled
There are some casting flaws
