The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.


We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired since its initial manufacture.
- Restoration to a few fingers of the proper right hand, to the handles of the basket, a few short repaired breaks to the basket and to where the basket and the hem of the sleeve meet
- Loss to one lotus stem, and to the whirl at the bottom center
- Small area of restoration to the proper left eye
- A few short unobtrusive original firing cracks which are typical for works of this type
