Lot Essay

The exterior of the bowl is decorated with the Eight Daoist Immortals in various poses holding their attributes, the interior with a central medallion enclosing the Shoulao beside a deer and his attendant in a garden setting.
The base is inscribed with four characters in underglaze blue within a double circle reading Fushou Shuangquan ‘completely enjoy the happiness and longevity’.
