The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- There are several restored breaks throughout, including the horse’s neck, ears, torso, four legs, right hump, tail, the figure’s head, arms and right wrist, parts of the feline, and three corners of the base, all are expected for artifacts of this type
- There are expected chips, flakes and fine cracks to surface, some with associated repair
- The object held by the rider is now missing
