The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- One cup has a 2 cm. long hairline to the mouth rim and a polished nick to the foot
- The other cup has a few shallow nicks and glaze flakes to the foot, some of which have been polished; the mouth rim has been lightly buffed
- One cup stand has a few glaze flakes to edges
- The other cup stand has a chip to the outer edge and a few other chips to the foot rim, one of which has been polished; there are also a few minute glaze flakes to edges
