Specialist Notes:

In 1950 John Dominis joined LIFE magazine. Volunteering to cover the Korean War, he went on to create photo essays for John Kennedy’s “I am a Berliner” speech, Woodstock and Nixton’s trip to China. He has photographed many celebrated entertainers such as Frank Sinatra, Dustin Hoffman, Robert Redford and, in this present work, Steve McQueen.
