The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

No cracks detected. The rim with one or two spots of cosmetic retouching and one or two nicks to the glaze in places. Minor pitting and crazing to the glaze in places, from the time of firing. Minor surface dirt. The underside with four footmarks from the time of firing, two of them with small associated chips. The underside with one or two tiny chips in places. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
