No chips detected. On very close examination there appears to be some hairline cracks at the upper centre of the work, from the rim, with some associated sympathetic retouching. There is a further small spot of unobtrusive restoration to the right eye, which is only visible on very close inpsection. Some light pitting to the glaze in places, from the time of firing. The footrim with remnants of an old velvet padding. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
