The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas, stretcher and attachments appear to be in generally good condition. There is some minor rubbing to all four corners with associated pinpoint paint loss. There is a very faint hairline surface irregularity in the upper right corner, as visible in the online illustration. There is a pinpoint spot of lifting to one of the black lines at the lower centre of the canvas, presumably due to the artist's working method. There are two pinpoint spots of faint accretion to the right half of the canvas. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work is in generally good condition.
