The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The work is structurally sound. There is a fine layer of surface dust to the crevasses. There are a few faint drying cracks in places. There are a few pinpoint losses to impasto peaks to the turnover edges in places. When examined under ultraviolet light there appears to be no evidence of any retouching. Subject to the foregoing, it is our view that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
